Description

A simple and delicious recipe for air fryer pork chops, seasoned with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Pat pork chops completely dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a nice sear.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Rub the olive oil over both sides of the pork chops. Then, generously sprinkle and rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork chops.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  6. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping the pork chops halfway through (after about 6-7 minutes). The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of your chops and your air fryer model.
  7. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare, or 160°F (71°C) for medium, measured with an instant-read thermometer.
  8. Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest on a plate or cutting board for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping them tender and juicy.

Notes

  • Patting the pork chops dry is crucial for a good sear.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Resting the pork chops after cooking is important for juiciness.
