Description

Crispy air fryer salmon bites coated in a flavorful lemon garlic butter sauce, perfect for a quick and healthy appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley or dill, chopped, for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon fillet into even 1-inch cubes after removing the skin.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the salmon cubes to the bowl and gently toss to coat them thoroughly with the lemon garlic butter sauce.
  4. Line your air fryer basket with an air fryer parchment liner or foil to prevent the sauce from dripping through. This is key for juicy results.
  5. Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the lined air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking and crisping.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5 to 7 minutes. There’s no need to shake the basket halfway through. The salmon should be cooked through and flake easily with a fork.
  7. Carefully remove the salmon bites from the air fryer.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley or dill, and accompanied by lemon wedges for extra zest.

Notes

  • Use an air fryer parchment liner or foil to keep the salmon juicy and prevent messes.
  • Cook in batches if your air fryer is small to avoid overcrowding.
  • Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork; do not overcook to maintain tenderness.
