Description

A simple and festive cookie recipe made from a box of cake mix, perfect for the Christmas season.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) vanilla or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup festive sprinkles (red, green, white)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix and flour.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until well combined and a dough forms.
  4. Stir in the sprinkles by hand until evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop dough by rounded tablespoons and drop onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
  7. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can use any color combination of sprinkles that suits your holiday theme.
  • Do not overbake; these cookies are best when slightly soft in the center.
