A simple and festive cookie recipe made from a box of cake mix, perfect for the Christmas season.
Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) vanilla or yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup festive sprinkles (red, green, white)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix and flour.
- Add softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until well combined and a dough forms.
- Stir in the sprinkles by hand until evenly distributed.
- Scoop dough by rounded tablespoons and drop onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
- Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can use any color combination of sprinkles that suits your holiday theme.
- Do not overbake; these cookies are best when slightly soft in the center.
