Description

A delicious and easy-to-make treat featuring crisp apple slices layered with creamy caramel and smooth white chocolate, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp shortening
  • 1 (14 ounce) package caramel candies, unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. Spread melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet in a thin, even layer.
  4. Refrigerate until set, about 15-20 minutes.
  5. While the white chocolate is setting, melt caramel candies with milk in a separate microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Carefully remove the white chocolate layer from the refrigerator.
  7. Pour the melted caramel over the white chocolate and spread evenly.
  8. Arrange apple slices on top of the caramel layer. Sprinkle with chopped pecans, if using.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the caramel is firm enough to cut.
  10. Break or cut into pieces before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the white chocolate and caramel are smooth and lump-free before layering.
  • Thinly sliced apples will set better and be easier to cut through.
  • Pecans add a nice crunch, but you can substitute other nuts or omit them.
