Easy and festive Christmas cookies made quickly using a box of cake mix, perfect for holiday baking.
Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) vanilla, yellow, or white cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sprinkles (red, green, and white Christmas sprinkles recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Stir in the sprinkles until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set. Do not overbake.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
