Description

Easy Bisquick sausage balls are a classic appetizer made with beef sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and Bisquick baking mix, seasoned with parsley and garlic powder for a savory bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk beef sausage meat
  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk (optional, for moisture)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef sausage meat, Bisquick mix, and shredded cheddar cheese. Add the parsley and garlic powder for extra depth of flavor.
  3. Use your hands to knead the ingredients together until a uniform dough forms. If the mixture feels too dry or crumbly to hold its shape, add a splash of milk.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and space them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the beef is fully cooked and the exteriors are a rich golden brown.
  6. Serve these warm as an appetizer or a savory breakfast bite.

Notes

  • Milk is optional and only needed if the dough is too dry.
  • Ensure the sausage is fully cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F.
  • These can be frozen unbaked and baked later for convenience.
