Description
Easy Bisquick sausage balls are a classic appetizer made with beef sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and Bisquick baking mix, seasoned with parsley and garlic powder for a savory bite.
Ingredients
- 1 pound bulk beef sausage meat
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons milk (optional, for moisture)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef sausage meat, Bisquick mix, and shredded cheddar cheese. Add the parsley and garlic powder for extra depth of flavor.
- Use your hands to knead the ingredients together until a uniform dough forms. If the mixture feels too dry or crumbly to hold its shape, add a splash of milk.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and space them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the beef is fully cooked and the exteriors are a rich golden brown.
- Serve these warm as an appetizer or a savory breakfast bite.
Notes
- Milk is optional and only needed if the dough is too dry.
- Ensure the sausage is fully cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F.
- These can be frozen unbaked and baked later for convenience.
