Description
A festive and flavorful dip featuring a sweet and spicy cranberry-jalapeño topping spread over creamy cream cheese, perfect for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
- 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced (or more to taste)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Pinch of salt
- Crackers or pita chips, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the fresh cranberries, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, sugar, lime juice, and salt. Mix well.
- Cover the cranberry mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Spread the softened cream cheese evenly onto a serving plate or shallow dish.
- Spoon the cranberry-jalapeño mixture over the cream cheese.
- Serve immediately with crackers or pita chips.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of jalapeño to control the spice level.
- For a smoother texture, you can pulse the cranberry mixture in a food processor instead of dicing everything finely.
- This dip can be made a few hours ahead of time, but the topping is best mixed shortly before serving for the freshest flavor.
