Description

A festive and flavorful Cranberry Pecan Cream Cheese Ball, perfect for holiday gatherings and parties. This easy-to-make appetizer features a creamy cheese base studded with tart cranberries and crunchy pecans, all rolled in a festive coating.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup dried cranberries, chopped (divided)
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped (divided)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Fold in the shredded white cheddar, half of the chopped cranberries, and half of the chopped pecans.
  3. Once everything is evenly mixed, shape the mixture into a ball or log shape using plastic wrap.
  4. Chill the cheese ball in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours to firm up.
  5. When ready to serve, combine the remaining cranberries and pecans in a pie dish or shallow bowl. Roll the cheeseball to evenly cover, then place on a serving board.
  6. Serve with crackers, sliced veggies, or bread.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth and lump-free base.
  • You can substitute other cheeses like Gruyere or Monterey Jack for the white cheddar.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cream cheese mixture.
  • The cheese ball can be made a day in advance and kept chilled.
