Description

A quick and easy one-pan chicken dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a rich, creamy lemon garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (2-3 large), sliced in half horizontally or pounded thin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken to the hot skillet and cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce slightly.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over it.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
