Description
A quick and easy one-pan chicken dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a rich, creamy lemon garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (2-3 large), sliced in half horizontally or pounded thin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken to the hot skillet and cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.
- Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce slightly.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over it.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer sauce, use full-fat heavy cream.
- Adjust lemon juice to your preference.
- Ensure chicken is cooked through before returning to the sauce.
