Description

Crispy and flavorful air fryer chickpeas, a healthy vegan snack seasoned with smoked paprika and garlic powder for a smoky, garlicky crunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder


Instructions

  1. After rinsing the chickpeas, spread them out on a clean kitchen towel and pat them until they are completely dry; moisture is the enemy of crispiness.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the dry chickpeas with the olive oil until every bean is lightly coated.
  3. Transfer the chickpeas to the air fryer basket and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes to ensure even browning.
  4. Once they are deeply golden and crunchy, remove them from the air fryer and immediately toss them with the salt, paprika, and garlic powder while they are still hot.
  5. Let them cool completely before storing in an open container to maintain their crunch.
