Description
Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are a delicious and easy appetizer or main course, featuring tender salmon coated in a creamy and spicy Bang Bang sauce, air-fried to crispy perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless salmon fillets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt (Diamond Crystal Kosher salt; reduce by half if using Morton’s)
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 batch bang bang sauce (recipe below)
- Nonstick cooking spray or oil for the air fryer basket
- For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- To make the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, rice vinegar, and kosher salt until smooth. Set aside.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
- Cut the salmon fillets into 1-inch cubes. Add to a mixing bowl.
- Add the olive oil, granulated garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the salmon and gently stir to evenly coat the salmon with everything.
- Add half of the bang bang sauce and stir gently again to coat the salmon evenly.
- Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray or oil.
- Add salmon cubes to the air fryer, taking care not to overcrowd the basket. You will likely need to do this in two or three batches.
- Cook for 8 minutes. You do not need to turn the fish during cooking.
- Serve drizzled with remaining Bang Bang Sauce.
Notes
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these salmon bites in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Adjust the Sriracha amount in the sauce to your preferred spice level.
- Leftover Bang Bang Sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week and can be used as a dipping sauce for other dishes.
