Description
Simple, healthy, and fudgy 3-ingredient banana brownies made with ripe bananas, creamy peanut butter, and cocoa powder—no flour, sugar, or eggs needed.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup (120g) creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (50g) cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 7-inch by 7-inch (15 cm x 15 cm) square brownie pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang to easily lift out the brownies later.
- In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly mash the ripe bananas until very smooth.
- Add the creamy peanut butter to the mashed bananas and stir well until the mixture is fully combined and smooth.
- Sift the cocoa powder into the banana-peanut butter mixture. Mix until no streaks of cocoa powder remain and you have a consistent brownie batter.
- Transfer the batter into your prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 22 to 30 minutes. The brownies should appear set on top, but a toothpick inserted may still come out with some moist crumbs, indicating a fudgy texture. Mine took 27 minutes.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely at room temperature in the pan before slicing and serving. This is crucial for them to set properly and prevent crumbling.
Notes
- For a fudgy texture, bake until the top is set but a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cooling completely is essential to prevent the brownies from crumbling when sliced.
- Baking time may vary; check at 22 minutes and adjust based on your oven.
