Description

Simple, healthy, and fudgy 3-ingredient banana brownies made with ripe bananas, creamy peanut butter, and cocoa powder—no flour, sugar, or eggs needed.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup (120g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (50g) cocoa powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 7-inch by 7-inch (15 cm x 15 cm) square brownie pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang to easily lift out the brownies later.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly mash the ripe bananas until very smooth.
  3. Add the creamy peanut butter to the mashed bananas and stir well until the mixture is fully combined and smooth.
  4. Sift the cocoa powder into the banana-peanut butter mixture. Mix until no streaks of cocoa powder remain and you have a consistent brownie batter.
  5. Transfer the batter into your prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 22 to 30 minutes. The brownies should appear set on top, but a toothpick inserted may still come out with some moist crumbs, indicating a fudgy texture. Mine took 27 minutes.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool completely at room temperature in the pan before slicing and serving. This is crucial for them to set properly and prevent crumbling.
