Description

Simple and flavorful homemade chicken burgers using ground chicken mixed with breadcrumbs, herbs, and spices, pan-fried to juicy perfection and served on buns with fresh toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil (or other neutral cooking oil)
  • Hamburger buns, lettuce, tomato, red onion for serving


Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, Italian breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, minced onion, chopped fresh parsley, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to gently mix until all ingredients are well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Create a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to help prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Heat a large non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Add the avocado oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
  4. Once the pan is hot, carefully place the chicken burgers in the skillet. Cook for approximately 5-6 minutes per side, or until the patties are golden brown, cooked through, and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. Serve the cooked chicken burgers on toasted hamburger buns with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, and red onion.
