Description

Easy Meatball Sliders are a quick and delicious appetizer made with frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, and Hawaiian sweet rolls, topped with melted mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 12 frozen meatballs, cooked (or homemade)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls, split horizontally
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Heat the cooked meatballs in the marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat until warmed through.
  3. Place the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Place one sauced meatball onto each roll bottom, then spoon a little extra marinara over each.
  5. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the meatballs.
  6. Position the top halves of the rolls over the cheese and meatballs.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush this mixture evenly over the tops of the slider buns.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 12 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is beautifully melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use homemade meatballs if preferred for better flavor control.
  • These sliders are perfect for parties or game day snacks.
