Description
Easy Meatball Sliders are a quick and delicious appetizer made with frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, and Hawaiian sweet rolls, topped with melted mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients
- 12 frozen meatballs, cooked (or homemade)
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls, split horizontally
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup melted butter
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Heat the cooked meatballs in the marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat until warmed through.
- Place the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls into the prepared baking dish.
- Place one sauced meatball onto each roll bottom, then spoon a little extra marinara over each.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the meatballs.
- Position the top halves of the rolls over the cheese and meatballs.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush this mixture evenly over the tops of the slider buns.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 12 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is beautifully melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use homemade meatballs if preferred for better flavor control.
