Description

Easy and flavorful chicken burgers packed with fresh spinach and melted white cheddar cheese, perfect for a healthy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • Burger buns and desired toppings (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Use clean hands or a spoon to mix everything until just combined. The mixture may be slightly sticky.
  2. Divide the chicken mixture into four equal portions. Gently shape each portion into a patty, approximately 1/2-inch thick. If the mixture is too sticky, a little olive oil on your hands can help with shaping.
  3. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once the pan is hot, carefully place the chicken patties in it, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Cook the burgers for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until they are beautifully golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Once cooked, transfer the burgers to a plate and allow them to rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Toast your burger buns if desired, then assemble your chicken burgers with your favorite toppings such as fresh lettuce, juicy tomato slices, creamy avocado, or even a sprinkle of extra white cheddar cheese for an additional cheesy touch. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F for food safety.
  • The mixture may be sticky; wet hands or use oil to shape patties easily.
  • Customize toppings to suit your preferences for added flavor and nutrition.
