Ingredients
- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice.
- In a separate bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly in an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
