Description
A simple and decadent no-bake treat made from crushed Golden Oreo cookies mixed with cream cheese, dipped in melted white chocolate, and optionally decorated with sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 1 (15.25 ounce) package Golden Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 16 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
- Optional: Yellow or gold sprinkles, for decorating
Instructions
- Place the Golden Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Alternatively, place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and a dough forms.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate the Oreo balls for at least 30 minutes, or freeze for 15 minutes, until firm.
- Melt the white chocolate melting wafers according to package directions (microwave or double boiler).
- Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Immediately sprinkle with optional yellow or gold sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
- Refrigerate until the chocolate is firm. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing.
- Chilling the balls thoroughly is crucial so they hold their shape when dipped in chocolate.
- If the melted chocolate thickens while working, reheat it briefly according to package instructions.
