Description

A healthier take on the classic buffalo chicken dip, this recipe uses Greek yogurt for a creamy and tangy base.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2.5 cups shredded chicken breasts (about 2 chicken breasts or 1 lb)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese, Greek yogurt, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Add shredded chicken and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until fully combined.
  4. Pour mixture into an oven-safe dish (like a 10.25” round cast iron pan), spread into an even layer, and top with the remaining cheese.
  5. Bake for about 15 minutes.
  6. Turn the oven to broil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to get the cheese nice and golden.
  7. Carefully remove from the oven, top with sliced green onions, and serve with chips or veggies.

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, use a hotter buffalo sauce or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or bell pepper slices.
