Description
A healthier take on the classic buffalo chicken dip, this recipe uses Greek yogurt for a creamy and tangy base.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 3/4 cup buffalo sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2.5 cups shredded chicken breasts (about 2 chicken breasts or 1 lb)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 green onions, finely sliced, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese, Greek yogurt, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Add shredded chicken and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until fully combined.
- Pour mixture into an oven-safe dish (like a 10.25” round cast iron pan), spread into an even layer, and top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for about 15 minutes.
- Turn the oven to broil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to get the cheese nice and golden.
- Carefully remove from the oven, top with sliced green onions, and serve with chips or veggies.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, use a hotter buffalo sauce or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Serve with tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or bell pepper slices.
