Description

A delicious and moist banana bread recipe featuring the sweet flavor of maple syrup and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and maple syrup until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas until just combined.
  4. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Slice and serve.

Notes

  • Ensure bananas are very ripe for the best flavor and moisture.
  • Do not overmix the batter after adding the flour to prevent a tough bread.
