A simple and delicious way to enjoy acorn squash, roasted with maple syrup for a touch of sweetness.
Ingredients
- 1 acorn squash
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the acorn squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
- Brush the cut sides of the squash with olive oil.
- Place the squash cut-side down on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 30-40 minutes, or until tender.
- Flip the squash and brush the cut sides with maple syrup.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Roast for another 10-15 minutes, or until caramelized and tender.
Notes
- Ensure the squash is fork-tender before adding the maple syrup.
- Adjust maple syrup quantity to your sweetness preference.
- Other herbs like rosemary or thyme can be added for extra flavor.
