Description

A simple and delicious way to enjoy acorn squash, roasted with maple syrup for a touch of sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 1 acorn squash
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the acorn squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
  3. Brush the cut sides of the squash with olive oil.
  4. Place the squash cut-side down on a baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 30-40 minutes, or until tender.
  6. Flip the squash and brush the cut sides with maple syrup.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Roast for another 10-15 minutes, or until caramelized and tender.
