Description

Delicious and classic M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (6 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (6 oz) M&M’s candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and M&M’s candies.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft. Do not overbake.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 2-3 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, use more brown sugar than granulated sugar.
  • Ensure butter is softened but not melted for best results.
  • Do not overmix the dough after adding the dry ingredients to maintain a tender texture.
