Description

Mummy Hot Dogs are a fun and spooky Halloween-themed treat made by wrapping hot dogs in crescent roll dough to look like mummies.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • Ketchup or mustard, for serving
  • Candy eyeballs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  3. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 thin strips.
  4. Wrap 3 strips of dough around each hot dog to resemble bandages, leaving a small opening for the ‘face’.
  5. Place wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from oven. If using, carefully attach candy eyeballs to the ‘face’ area with a dab of ketchup or mustard.
  8. Serve warm with ketchup or mustard for dipping.

Notes

  • Ensure the dough strips are thin enough to cook through evenly.
  • You can use toothpicks to secure the dough if needed, but remove them before serving.
  • Get creative with the mummy wrapping for a unique look on each hot dog.
