- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the old-fashioned rolled oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough (about 1.5-2 tbsp each) onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between cookies.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
