Description

Delicious and easy-to-make peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. On low speed, gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  8. If desired, use a fork to gently press a crisscross pattern onto each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Ensure butter and peanut butter are at room temperature for best creaming results.
  • Do not overmix the dough once the flour is added to prevent tough cookies.
  • Chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking can help cookies spread less.
