A delightful recipe for Pumpkin Banana Bread, combining the rich flavors of pumpkin puree and mashed bananas with chocolate chips, perfect for a comforting treat.
Ingredients
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1/3 Cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1/3 Cup Canola Oil, or vegetable oil
- 1⅓ Cup Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3½ Cups Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 3½ teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 1 Cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1 Cup Bananas, mashed (about 2 medium bananas)
- 3 Cups Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees F and spray 2 bread pans with nonstick spray.
- In a large mixer, add the eggs, butter, oil, sugar and vanilla, mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pumpkin pie spice.
- Add to the mixer with the pumpkin and bananas and mix to combine.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and divide the batter between the two pans.
- Bake for 50 minutes then gently open the door and lay a piece of foil over the bread and bake for an additional 10 minutes for a total of 60 minutes.

- *Pumpkin Puree: Ensure you use plain pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
