Description
These Rolo Pretzel Bites are a quick and easy no-bake style treat (though they use a brief oven time) featuring a salty pretzel base topped with a melted Rolo candy and optionally a pecan half.
Ingredients
- 1 (11 ounce) bag Rolo candies, unwrapped
- Approx. 50 small pretzel twists (snap or mini)
- Approx. 50 pecan halves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place one unwrapped Rolo candy on top of each pretzel.
- Bake for 3-5 minutes, or until the Rolo candies are softened and shiny, but not completely melted.
- Remove from oven. Immediately press a pecan half onto the center of each softened Rolo (or gently flatten the Rolo if not using pecans).
- Allow the pretzel bites to cool completely on the baking sheet at room temperature, or place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to speed setting.
- Once cooled and set, store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Notes
- Ensure the Rolo candies are only softened, not fully melted, to maintain the shape of the bite.
- If pecans are omitted, gently flatten the softened Rolo with the back of a spoon or a small glass.
- Cooling time in the refrigerator (15-20 minutes) will help them set faster than room temperature cooling.
