Description

A recipe for easy and flavorful Spicy Cranberry BBQ Meatballs, perfect as an appetizer, made using a slow cooker or stovetop method.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) package frozen cooked meatballs (about 30-40 meatballs)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 2-3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste for spiciness)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the cranberry sauce, BBQ sauce, Sriracha sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Whisk well until fully combined and smooth.
  2. Add the frozen meatballs to the sauce mixture, stirring gently to ensure all meatballs are coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1.5-2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is bubbly and thickened.
  4. Alternatively, you can cook them on the stovetop: In a large saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients. Bring to a simmer, then add meatballs. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. Great as an appetizer or over rice.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha sauce to control the level of spiciness.
  • This dish is great served as an appetizer or over rice.
