Description

A simple and delicious meatloaf recipe that uses Stove Top stuffing mix for added flavor and moisture.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 (6 ounce) box Stove Top stuffing mix (any flavor, chicken or savory herb recommended)
  • 1 cup water or milk
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, contents of the Stove Top stuffing mix packet (dry, no need to prepare it separately), water or milk, and the beaten egg.
  3. Mix gently with your hands until all ingredients are just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in a tough meatloaf.
  4. Press the meat mixture evenly into the prepared loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on the baking sheet.
  5. If desired, spread a thin layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) when measured with a meat thermometer.
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Using chicken or savory herb flavored Stove Top stuffing mix is recommended for the best flavor.
  • Do not overmix the ingredients to ensure a tender meatloaf.
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest before slicing for easier handling and juicier results.
