Description

A rich and indulgent breakfast option combining the goodness of oats with dark chocolate flavor and added protein for a satisfying start to the day.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1 scoop (about 25g) chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 banana, sliced, for topping
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the almond milk to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until well combined and smooth.
  4. Transfer to a bowl and top with dark chocolate chips and sliced banana if desired.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use plant-based protein powder and non-dairy milk.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding a natural sweetener like maple syrup if needed.
  • This recipe can be prepared in the microwave: combine oats and milk in a bowl, microwave for 2-3 minutes, then stir in other ingredients.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat with a splash of milk.
