Description
A simple and delicious recipe for baked salmon, perfect for a weeknight meal. This recipe uses minimal ingredients and takes only a few minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 lemon, sliced (for garnish and flavor)
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets.
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
- Place lemon slices on top of each fillet, or around them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh dill, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a splash of white wine to the baking sheet before cooking.
- If you don’t have fresh dill, parsley can be used as a substitute.
- Ensure salmon is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
