Description

A simple and delicious recipe for baked salmon, perfect for a weeknight meal. This recipe uses minimal ingredients and takes only a few minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 lemon, sliced (for garnish and flavor)
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Place lemon slices on top of each fillet, or around them on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh dill, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of white wine to the baking sheet before cooking.
  • If you don’t have fresh dill, parsley can be used as a substitute.
  • Ensure salmon is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
