Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred for searing)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 cups kale or iceberg lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup roasted sweet potatoes, cubed
- 1/2 yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon dill pickle juice
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions
- Caramelize the sliced onions in a skillet with a touch of oil over medium heat until soft and browned, then set aside.
- Roll the ground beef into loose balls and season generously with salt and pepper.

- Sear for 2 to 3 minutes until a dark crust forms, flip the patties, and top with cheddar cheese to melt.
- In a small ramekin, whisk together the mayo, mustard, ketchup, and pickle juice to create your special burger sauce.
- Build your bowl by layering the greens and sweet potatoes, topping them with the chopped smash burger patties, caramelized onions, and avocado.
- Drizzle the special sauce over the top and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use 80/20 ground beef for the best searing and flavor.
- Roasted sweet potatoes can be prepared in advance for quicker assembly.
